Hi everyone, please accept my sincere apologies for being somewhat MIA from the blogosphere lately. I promise to make it up with this update and preview on the special surprises to come.

So just to recap, I started blogging at the beginning of July and managed to publish many posts within a short timeframe. But at times I felt they were forced or just following the typical fashion blogger route. So for the past couple of weeks I've decided to take it slow and muse over a couple of blogging books like Dana Fox's "Blog Wonderful" and the classic "Blog Inc" by Joy Cho. I'm not an avid book reader, but I found those two books jam packed with useful tips and inspiration.

Reading those two books made me realize the importance of having a short-term plan for the future of my blog. So in the next 2 months I will be showcasing some local businesses, great deals from my back-to-school haul and have a short series on affordable Fall boots. You might also want to watch out for some more of my giveaways!

Well, speaking of giveaways, I meant to offer one once I reached my 50 followers target on Bloglovin. But since then, that number has been climbing and I reached 100 this past week! So to thank all of my loyal readers (+ to warmly welcome the b2school season) I have followed through with your requests and will be holding a second Brandy Melville giveaway! I don't know about you, but I really like polaroid cameras for some reason. Maybe its cause of their instant artsy gratification, small-size and wide array of colours. At times I think it serves more as an accessory rather than the simple point and shoot. 

Personally, I own Fujifilm's Instax Mini 7s, a small compact polaroid that produces credit card sized souvenir photos. I bought mine on sale for around $70 CAD at London Drugs compared to the usual $100 at Urban Outfitters. While the camera itself wasn't a huge investment, the film costs nearly $1-2 a piece which seems like an overwhelming recurring expense. As a result, I don't use my polaroid as much as I'd like to and I feel pressured to get the perfect shot the first time round.

Nevertheless, I still enjoy taking it to parties, get-togethers or to my local park just to have substantial memories of some of life's precious moments.

This is my sweet collection of pink coloured favourites from some of my preferred brands. Up first is the light coloured blazer (1) from Dynamite that looks great over any bright coloured top paired with some beige skinnies. Next from the one and only Brandy Melville is a washed out backpack (2) that would be ideal for the beach or fashionably camping (just kidding). For that summer cocktail party or just watching fireworks, I'd definitely wear this elegant V-neck dress (3) from the Bay. And again from the Bay we have a beige/pinkish purse (4) that would add a touch to any summer look. Forever 21 is notorious for their range of accessories and these rose hair clips (5) are no exception; I'd wear them to spice up a plain dress. These coral pumps (6) can be worn to complete any summer outfit and give that pop of colour. As a lover of crochet and lace I couldn't leave out Dynamite's form-fitting shorts (7) which I'd wear under a dark grey blazer. And lastly we have a light chiffon tee (8) from Mango which could be worn over printed leggings with flip flops for that casual look.
